The 8th annual HIV Awareness Music Project (HAMP) Fest will take over One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans on Friday, December 9.
The Morning 40 Federation, Debauche and The Cole Williams Band will perform at the event, which is set to go from 9pm to 2am. Free and confidential HIV testing will also be available on site.
Proceeds from HAMP Fest will benefit 102.3 WHIV-LP, a nonprofit, commercial-free radio station that focuses on local music and social justice. “The objective of 102.3 WHIV-LP is to reserve our airwaves for the voices of those that have been ignored by traditional media,” reads the station’s website.
HAMP Fest is put on by the New Orleans Society of Infectious Disease Awareness in conjunction with Snake Oil Productions. The festival roughly coincides with World AIDS Day, which takes place on December 1.
Tickets for HAMP Fest are now on sale for $20.
