During Halloween weekend, the Krewe of Red Beans will host its Hallow”bean” Party, equal parts concert, costume party and market.

On  Saturday, October 27, the krewe behind the Red Beans Parade will partner with Camellia Brand Beans, Breaux Mart and Urban South Brewery for a high-stakes costume contest. The winner of best costume will win two Krewe of Red Beans memberships. Throughout the festivities, musical performances from the Iceman Special, Bon Bon Vivant, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys will rock at Urban South Brewery’s Tchoupitoulas location.

This year, the krewe will unveil a 1969 Cadillac hearse decorated in beans, a signature touch from the organization responsible for one of the most unique Lundi Gras parades in the city. The schedule for the Hallow”bean” Party is as follows:

 October 27, 2018

                        5 to 8 p.m. – Costume Market with 40+ vendors

                        8 p.m. to midnight – Live Music

                        10:30 p.m. – Costume Contest
