Food Network personality Guy Fieri will team up with Cowboy Mouth for a free show at Tipitina’s on Sunday, June 25. The Diners, Drive-ins and Dives star will host the concert, which is set to be filmed for a future television broadcast.
According to NOLA.com, Fieri and Cowboy Mouth drummer-leader Fred LeBlanc have been friends for the past two decades. LeBlanc told the publication that the two met many years ago at a club near Fieri’s hometown of Santa Rosa, CA while Cowboy Mouth was on tour. Evidently, the drummer—who has always had a penchant for wild antics—climbed onto a table where a young Fieri was seated during the band’s show. The chef made his way out to another one of the group’s California show, where he shared barbecue and sushi dishes from his restaurant with LeBlanc and his bandmates. The two have been friends ever since.
Billed as Guy Fieri’s Free Rockin’ Roadshow, the Sunday concert will kick off at 8pm. And if you’re wondering whether or not the band will invite Fieri to join them on stage, the answer is a definite yes.
