Guns N’ Roses will perform at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, July 31. The stop will be a part of the band’s newly-announced “Not in This Lifetime” reunion tour.
The outing will feature original Guns N’ Roses members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan (notably absent: guitarist Izzy Stradlin), along with a number of other unconfirmed musicians. A few spring dates, including sets at Coachella, have also been scheduled.
News of the impending announcement came last week, when the band revealed the 21 cities that they intend to hit on their summer tour. No specific dates or locations were confirmed, but New Orleans was included in the list.
Judging by the band’s decision to play the 80,000+ capacity Superdome instead of a smaller venue like the 17,000+ capacity Smoothie King Center, it’s safe to assume that demand for the upcoming stadium tour will be huge.
Pre-sale tickets will be available to Night Train fan club members on April 2, with a Facebook pre-sale talking place on April 7. General public on-sale will begin April 8 via Ticketmaster.
