Gretna Heritage Festival has revealed that Kool & The Gang and The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards will headline the Friday festivities when it returns to downtown Gretna next month.

Headliners for Saturday and Sunday are expected to be announced some time this week, with a full schedule set to be released in the near future. The festival’s Facebook page describes its Friday night lineup as “a trip to Motown” and adds that the rest of the fest will include “a Saturday to savor some Southern Rock and a Sunday with some Country fueled by Girl Power.”

Last year’s Gretna Heritage Festival showcased headlining performances by Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr. and Bret Michaels. This year’s edition will take place October 7-9.
