Gravity A

Guitarist and vocalist Billy Iuso will team up with Gravity A to pay tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead.

The show–billed as Gravity Dead–will take place at Tipitina’s on Friday, April 15. The night will mark the collaboration’s second performance in less than a month, seeing as the group took the stage at the Maple Leaf last week (the gig was part of Gravity A’s current Wednesday night residency at the venue).

Iuso is the perfect choice to front such a project with Gravity A, who have put together jammed-out tributes to artists like Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and A Tribe Called Quest in recent years. The guitarist and singer–a longtime Deadhead in his own right–has performed with Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann as part of the Dead Feat supergroup.
