On Sunday afternoon, the Goodfellas Social Aid & Pleasure Club held their fourth annual second line, parading through Central City. The theme of this year’s second line was “Rags to Riches,” with members changing clothes at a stop at the YMCA from busker costumes to fine suits and sashes. Stooges Brass Band provided the music, and the queen was Rainey Lawrence, with a headpiece made by Big Chief Victor Harris of the Spirit of FiYiYi. All photos below taken by Kim Welsh.
