Gypsy punk staples Gogol Bordello and off-kilter rockers The Growlers have both announced shows in New Orleans for this fall. The Growlers will perform at The Joy Theater on Saturday, October 14, while Gogol Bordello will perform at the same venue one week later on Saturday, October 21.
The Growlers will be hitting the road in support of their 2016 album City Club, a record that found the band exploring a synth-laden approach to garage rock with the help of The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas (who produced the record). No openers have been confirmed for their New Orleans stop at this point.
Gogol Bordello will be promoting their forthcoming album Seekers and Finders when they roll through the Crescent City. The release is due out on August 25, but the band just unveiled a new single called “Saboteur Blues.” Lucky Chops will open the night for their Joy Theater show.
Tickets for both concerts are on sale now.
