On Sunday, former Saint Steve Gleason announced how he’s doing in a dramatic way. After being diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) – more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, he accompanied Drew Brees and Will Smith to the mid-field coin toss before the Saints-Texans game, then led the pre-game “Who Dat” chant.

On Sunday, November 27, the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, the New Orleans Saints and Rehage Productions will host Gleason Gras in Champions Square. Better Than Ezra, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Papa Grows Funk, MyNameIsJohnMichael, Stanton Moore, Theresa Andersson, Kyle Turley and more will perform. The show hopes to raise awareness of ALS and money for the with Gleason Family Trust, which was established to help offset the costs of living with ALS including Gleason’s participation in advanced treatments.
