OffBeat writer Brett Milano reports that Joe Jackson will be releasing a new album Fast Forward on October 2, 2015 and touring the U.S. this fall.
The album features four sets of four songs recorded in four different cities—New York, New Orleans, Berlin and Amsterdam—each with a different set of supporting musicians.
The New Orleans set was recorded with three members of Galactic—drummer Stanton Moore, bassist Robert Mercurio, and guitarist Jeff Raines—and a horn section led by saxophonist Donald Harrison, Jr.
The four songs all written by Joe Jackson and recorded in New Orleans are “Neon Rain,” “Satellite,” “Keep On Dreaming,” and “Ode To Joy.”
Sounds like something we want to hear.
