Galactic will return to Tipitina’s on Saturday, October 31 for their annual Halloween show. The New Orleans staples will be joined by The New Breed Brass Band, who are set to open the night’s festivities.
The Halloween gig will mark Galactic’s second performance at Tipitina’s in the span of only a few weeks. The group took the stage at the iconic venue this past Friday for a pre-Landing Festival celebration that featured sets from the Honey Island Swamp Band and The Soul Rebels. Friday night’s concert also included guest appearances by Anders Osborne, Erica Falls and Papa Mali, who sat in with the Galactic at various points throughout their set.
The announcement comes on the heels of Galactic’s inaugural Landing Festival, which brought a diverse assortment of acts to the newly renovated South Shopre Harbor over the weekend. The event hosted performances by Galactic, Cake, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Soul Rebels, North Mississippi Allstars with Anders Osborne and more on Saturday, while sunday saw sets from Grace Potter, Dr. Dog, Trampled by Turtles, Lil Dicky and David Shaw and Zack Feinberg of The Revivalists.
Tickets for Galactic’s Halloween party will go on sale this Friday, October 2.
