Last week we reported on the passing of Marsalis family matriarch Dolores Ferdinand Marsalis, who died of pancreatic cancer at at the age of 80 on Tuesday, July 18. Funeral arrangements for Marsalis are as follows:

A view will take place at Rhodes Funeral Home (2933 Washington Ave) from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, July 31.

Visitation will begin at 11am at Mater Dolorosa (1230 S Carrollton Ave.) on Tuesday, August 1, with a mass following at 1pm. Interment will take place immediately after the church service at Mount Olivet Cemetery (4000 Norman Mayer Ave.).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music in memory of Dolores Marsalis.
