The Friends of the Cabildo will be hosting their “Ghostly Gallivant Weekend” on October 23rd through the 25th, presenting a costume party and Halloween-themed museum tours at the Cabildo.
The organization’s fifth “Eat, Drink and Be Scary Costume Party” will take place on Friday, October 23rd starting at 7:30 p.m., and will feature live music by Bobby Moore and the Rhythm Aces.
Food from a variety of New Orleans restaurants, beer and wine will be available to ticket holders. Stilt walkers, tarot card readers, crystal readers, and a costume contest are also expected. The winner of the costume contest will win a a pair of VooDoo Festival weekend passes.

The gala will be followed by two days of their “Ghostly Gallivant Tours,” guided museum tours revolving around famous “ghosts” from New Orleans and Louisiana’s History. Tours will run every half-hour on Saturday, October 24th and Sunday, October 25th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
General admission for the costume party cost $55, members and under 35 cost $45. Tours are free for children under 12, $25 for general admission, $10 for students. Tickets and more information can be found on the Friends of the Cabildo website.
