Frenchmen Street mainstay The Spotted Cat Music Club will open a new outpost called Spotted Cat Food & Spirits. The restaurant is slated to open in February.
Located at 2372 St. Claude Avenue, the establishment will serve all day breakfast, small plates, and a Jazz brunch on Saturday and Sunday, featuring locally sourced ingredients from across the Gulf Coast. The 2,500 sq. ft. space will also be available for parties and events.
In keeping with the brand, Spotted Cat Food & Spirits ill host performances by local acts like the Shotgun Jazz Band, Smokin’ Time Jazz Club, Sarah McCoy and Antoine Diel, and more.
“As a popular local and tourist spot, a second location is necessary to accommodate the different needs of our loyal Spotted Cat guests,” said co-owner Wm. Douglas Emmer. “We are excited to expand our presence and offer memorable and entertaining experiences to an even greater population.”
The Spotted Cat Music Club recently made headlines when CNN hosted the Central Time Zone segment of its New Year’s Eve broadcast at the venue. It ended up being an eventful night, with CNN anchor Don Lemon having a little too much fun at the club.
