This Friday, March 9, the Historic New Orleans Collection will tip its hat to the city’s tricentennial with the French Quarter Block Party. Running from 4:30-7:30 p.m., the free street celebration will take over the entire 500 block of Royal Street and showcase live music.

Leroy Jones’ Original Hurricane Brass Band will rock the crowd from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and the Dukes of Dixieland will perform in THNOC’s 533 Royal St. courtyard from 5-7:30 p.m. Antoine’s Restaurant and other local eateries will provide attendees with food and beverage for purchase.

 THNOC’s French Quarter Block Party will also provide revelers with a sneak peek of its forthcoming exhibit, “Making New Orleans Home: A Tricentennial Symposium.”
