Frankie Beverly & The Mightly O’Jays take New Orleans One Last Time on May 25with special guest The Whispers.
Frankie Beverly, the acclaimed “Silky Soul Singer,” is embarking on his final tour after more than 50 years of creating and performing classic hits. The tour will culminate with a special performance in New Orleans on May 25, 2024, at the Smoothie King Center. Beverly, along with his band Maze, will deliver a night of soul-stirring music, featuring beloved songs like “Back In Stride,” “Golden Time of Day,” and the iconic “Before I Let Go.”
The tour announcement comes after Beverly was honored with the Urban One Living Legend Honor by TVOne, cementing his status as one of the greatest musical talents of his generation. Fans can expect a memorable farewell as Beverly prepares to enjoy a well-deserved retirement in his California Bay Area home.
Similarly, The O’Jays, after more than 60 years of electrifying audiences worldwide, are embarking on their final farewell tour. Featuring Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, and Eric Nolan Grant, the legendary trio will take fans on a nostalgic journey through their timeless hits, including “For The Love Of Money,” “Use Ta Be My Girl,” and “Family Reunion.”
The O’Jays’ tour, aptly named after their 1974 single “Love Train,” is a celebration of their career. With accolades including ten No.1 singles, nine platinum albums, and induction into prestigious halls of fame, The O’Jays have left an indelible mark on the music industry.
