It’s summertime in New Orleans, and we all know what that means. Snowballs, daiquiris, steamy afternoons, hot nights, cold beer, and the Foundation Free Fridays Concert series at Tipitina’s.
As if it isn’t enough that we already have the best music in the world performed nightly by the best musicians in the world, we have to go ahead and give it away for free on Friday nights at one of the most iconic music destinations just to rub it in every other city’s face.
The series kicks off tonight at 10 p.m. with Mississippi Rail Company, followed by John “Papa” Gros and a collection of New Orleans music all stars including Brian Stoltz, Eric Bolivar, Eric Vogel, and more.
And this is just the start. There will be free music at Tipitina’s every Friday night through September.
