New Orleans bounce producer Flipset Fred has died

New Orleans Bounce producer and DJ, Fredrick Palmer aka Flipset Fred has died, according to several reports from fans and family on social media.

At the time of publication, no official cause of death has been released.

Palmer produced songs for many artists including Big Freedia, Jo Jackson, Baby Erin, Magnolia Shorty and others. The producer also ran a label with Ino Robert called Flipset Music Group that released mostly bounce music. He graduated from Priestly Charter High School.

His last performance was on Sunday, January 15 for MLK weekend with S-8ighty, Roca-B and Flystar.

Palmer is survived by three children, Fendi, Faith and Faizo, and Faizo’s mother, Dreka, a popular Instagram model and makeup artist.
