Fleur De Dead Announces Billy & the Kids with Molly Tuttle

Fleur De Dead is set to take place on April 27 at the Saenger Theatre. The event will feature two sets from Billy & the Kids, the all-star group formed by the Grateful Dead’s Bill Kreutzmann, and special guest Molly Tuttle.

Billy & the Kids, consisting of members of various bands, will perform a selection of songs from the Grateful Dead’s songbook, as well as thematic classics and surprises. The night will feature the improvisational jamming and dance grooves that the band is known for.

“We’ll honor these songs with the energy and electricity that nights in New Orleans demand,” says Kreutzmann.

Fleur De Dead will be a unique engagement for Billy & the Kids, as the ensemble has yet to make plans to tour in the near future. Led by Bill Kreutzmann on drums, Billy & the Kids includes Aron Magner, James Casey, Reed Mathis, and Tom Hamilton.

Molly Tuttle, a rising star in the roots music world, will join the band as a special guest. Tuttle, a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter, has a lifelong love of bluegrass and was also nominated in the Best New Artist category at this year’s Grammy Awards.

The Saenger Theatre, known for its stunning Art Deco design and excellent acoustics, is ready for the event, and tickets are available on it’s website.
