Amanda Shaw will perform at "Festing on the Fourth"

Festing on the Fourth concert features Amanda Shaw, Flow Tribe

The City of New Orleans will have some semblance of a Fourth of July holiday this weekend, thanks to a concert event at Bucktown Harbor featuring Amanda Shaw, Flow Tribe, Brass-a-Holics and more.

“Festing on the Fourth” takes kicks off at 3 p.m. this Saturday, with a closing fireworks display at 9 p.m. It’s a BYOB event, so attendees are encouraged to bring food and beverages. There will be a few concessions selling nonalcoholic drinks and food. To practice safety and health measures relating to COVID-19, folks are required to wear face coverings when in shared public spaces like bathrooms and concession areas. Otherwise, attendees must remain in their cars or watch the show in lawn chairs or on the ground immediately next to their vehicles.

Cars will begin being admitted at 2 p.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking will be available on the large field inside Bucktown Harbor Park. Tickets are $50 per driver and another $45 per passenger. If, for whatever reason, the event is canceled in advance of Saturday, refunds will be available. However, if bad weather causes the event to be canceled day of, there will be no refunds.

No ticket link is provided in a report from NOLA.com, nor did a Google search turn up any ticketing information. To that end, get there early and bring cash just in case.
