You know what they say about birds of a feather…

Grab a feathered costume and join the flock as well as the Krewe of O.A.K. and MOM’s Ball courts on Saturday night (February 8) as they descned on the Maple Leaf for Feather Up 2014 and an evening of entertainment by way of Dave Jordan and Raw Oyster Cult.

Tickets to this first-ever event are $20 online in advance and $25 at the door. Feathered costumes are highly encouraged, and attendees must don at least one feather for entry. Doors open at 9:00 p.m., and the music gets underway at 10:00. The Maple Leaf is located at 8361 Oak Street (map).

If Feather Up’s inaugural flight is successful, organizers aim to transform it into a full-on krewe next carnival season.
