To fund their latest album, Wrongheaded, high-voltage Southern roots rock trio Dash Rip Rock has launched a PledgeMusic campaign encouraging fans to pre-order the album.
In exchange, they’ll receive a digital download before it’s available elsewhere and an exclusive Dash Rip Rock PledgeMusic Access Pass.
The pass includes free extras such as video clips, tour updates, and previously unreleased demos.
The band is also selling off memorabilia: snare drums, signed CDs, the cowboy boots “barroom poet” frontman Bill Davis wore during Mardi Gras, and more.
In addition to Davis (singer, guitarist, and songwriter), the group consists of Patrick Johnson (bass), and Kyle Melancon (drums).
They were inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2012 and also released Black Liquor that year to critical acclaim.
Praised by the New York Times for their “fluency in American roots music with a robust dose of punk-rock spirit,” they’ve shared the stage with the Ramones, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lou Reed, the Replacements, No Doubt, the Circle Jerks, and plenty of others.
