The Soul Rebels are continuing their “Song of the Week” project with another exclusive OffBeat premiere.

This brassed up version of Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish,” recorded live at Brooklyn Bowl in 2013 and featuring John Medeski on organ, is sure to get your toes tapping, no matter where you are.

The Rebels are on their way to South Africa this week to perform in the World Jam Music Festival.

Trombone Shorty will join the band for a trio of shows when they return to the country, at Terminal 5 in New York on December 10, the Vic Theatre in Chicago on December 12, and the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio, on December 13.

On December 19, the Soul Rebels will end their Fall Tour with a show at the Blue Nile on Frenchmen Street.

You couldn’t really wish for a better homecoming than that.
