Ever More Nest, the New Orleans-based band with lead singer Kelcy Mae, has been nominated by Music Resource Group (MRG) for the Independent Music Awards (IMAS) alongside some of the most talented musicians around the world today. Known as “the band with unmistakable Americana tilt,” Ever More Nest encompasses a sweet southern sound with strong words.
Just last year, Kelcy Mae released her debut record with Ever More Nest, produced by Grammy-nominated Neilson Hubbard (Mary Gauthier), named The Place That You Call Home. Focused on the idea of place, the band was celebrated for their unmistakable sound, Mae’s genius lyricism and vocals, along with the strong consistency of the band backing her up. With “Broken Bones”, Ever More Nest further caught the attention of fans for an honest yet saddened explanation of home and the pain it can cause.
The IMAS accepted thousands of submissions worldwide this year, with 103 Album, Song, EP, Music Producer, Music Video and Design categories all being considered. The awards focus on independent artists and releases, especially within the innovative self-released and indie label world. More than 400 artists will be honored at the 17th annual IMA ceremony this year on June 22, 2019 including Masta Ace & Marco Polo, Miss Tara, Prateek Kuhad, Foreigner, Juliana Hatfield, The Motels, Mark Erelli, Ella Vos and more. Winners will be announced at the IMAs Indie Konference in New York City, which will feature awards, performances, workshops and networking events. The winners will be selected from the best judging panels of top recording artists and will be promoted to millions of fans through online and broadcast promotions, performances and distribution opportunities.
