On Saturday, September 27, Euclid Records will be acting as local ambassador for Cassette Store Day 2014, with live performances from Phil the Tremolo King, Blind Texas Marlin, and The Wasted Lives.
Cassette Store Day was launched in 2013, and was based exclusively in the UK. They received such an overwhelming response, that the festivities are now an international affair.
The event is a spin off from the ever successful Record Store Day, which promotes the sale and production of the endangered medium of vinyl records.
Just as with vinyl, sales of cassette tapes have also dropped significantly, and all consumer support is needed.
In addition to live music, all performers will have cassette tapes available for sale.
The Cassette Store Day 2014 Lineup:
2 p.m. Phil the Tremolo King
3 p.m. Blind Texas Marlin
4 p.m. The Wasted Lives
Cassette Store Day is free to all, and will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 27 at Euclid Records.
