The Essence Music Festival returns to the Louisiana Superdome July 2-4 with Janet Jackson headlining its opening night. Today Essence announced its night-by-night lineup, which is as follows:

Saturday, July 3:
Main stage: Alicia Keys, Gladys Knight, LL Cool J, Keri Hilson.

Sunday, July 4:
Main stage: Mary J Blige, Earth Wind & Fire, Jill Scott, Trey Songz.
