New Orleans-based singer-songwriter Eric Lindell has cancelled all of his upcoming Jazz Fest performances. A post of his Facebook page reads:

We’re very sad to announce that Eric Lindell will not be performing at the Louisiana Music Factory on April 21st, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, as well as the Mid-City Lanes Rock ‘n’ Bowl on April 22nd and the Dragon Smoke show at One Eyed Jacks on April 26th, due to his son Kay’s current health condition. Thank you for your continued love and support during this very difficult time.

A Go Fund Me campaign has been launched to help Lindell and his wife Sarah with their son’s medical expenses. According to the page, Kay was born on March 2 via emergency C-section, but was immediately put on life support/ECMO as the doctors repaired his congenital diaphragmatic hernia. He has since undergone more surgeries, and will likely need more in the future.
