Celebrated stand-up comic Doug Stanhope will be performing at the Den at Howlin’ Wolf on Saturday, September 16. Since 1990, he’s made a name for himself doing what he calls ” true-life graphic perversion to volatile social criticism” styles of comedy, and has earned his fair share of attention along the way. He’s also amassed a long list of television roles, including spots with “Girls Gone Wild,” “Comedy Central Presents,” “Premium Blend,” NBC’s “Late Friday,” “Spy TV,” and BBC’s “Floor Show Live.”

Selected by both Variety and the Hollywood Reporter as one of the Top Ten Comics To Watch, Doug has released four CDs and three DVDs including “No Refunds” on Showtime in 2008.
