The first-ever Bear Creek Bayou Music Festival will take over Mardi Gras World in New Orleans on September 30 and October 1. The event is a spin-off of the Bear Creek Music Festival, a now-defunct gathering that brought thousands of funk lovers to Florida every fall for a number of years.

Bear Creek Bayou will feature sets from The Flaming Lips, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Lettuce, Soulive, Lotus, Dumpstaphunk, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Foundation of Funk with George Porter Jr. and Zigaboo Modeliste, The Budos Band and many more. The festival, which just released its daily schedule, will showcase these artists on three different stages. There will also be official after parties, along with an official pre-party at the Joy Theater.
