Because he’s Elton John, it’s taking the music legend three years to say farewell to his millions of fans around the world. That’s good news, as he’s just announced that his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour will return to New Orleans in June 2020 after first appearing here in December 2018.
Dubbed his “last-ever tour,” the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour provides fans a historic opportunity to witness the icon behind songs like Bennie and the Jets,” “Rocket Man,” “Tiny Dancer,” and “Philadelphia Freedom” in all his illustrious glory. New Orleans-area fans will have that chance on June 24, 2020 when he performs in the Smoothie King Center for what will surely be a sold-out event.
Those lucky enough to qualify can partake in the American Express Pre-Sale, which will release tickets beginning Thursday, November 14 (that’s tomorrow!) at 10 a.m. The rest of us will have to wait until tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. local time. All tickets and VIP packages can be purchased through Elton John’s official website. VIP packages include “premium tickets, on-stage photo opportunities at Elton John’s piano, backstage tours, limited-edition lithographs, custom merchandise and much more,” according to a press release.
