The Grammys Awards are accolades presented by the Recording Academy in the United States to acknowledge exceptional achievements in the music industry. Widely considered the most prestigious awards in music, they were originally named the Gramophone Awards, symbolized by a gilded gramophone trophy. The Grammys, part of the Big Three networks’ major music awards annually, hold a significant position among the four major American entertainment awards, alongside the Academy Awards (for films), the Emmy Awards (for television), and the Tony Awards (for theater). Inaugurated on May 4, 1959, the first Grammy Awards ceremony celebrated musical accomplishments in 1958.
The upcoming 66th Annual Grammy Awards scheduled for February 4, 2024 will encompass a total of 94 categories.
