A special edition of the weekly underground dance party Church* will take place for its fifth anniversary, at the Dragon’s Den on Sunday, November 29.

DJs LX One and Mark Starr are featured for the event, joined by Church* residents Unicorn Fukr, Innerlign b2b Rus, Beverly Skillz and many more.

“Church* was one of the first regular parties to introduce the sounds of trap to the city as well as juke and grime, concreting the party as New Orleans’ home for underground bass music,” said Unicorn Fukr. “With the help of Church*, public interest graduated from the boxed in view of the mainstream and progressed far enough to include deep house and techno, a vibe that differs drastically from that of dubstep.”

Unicorn Fukr, along Herb Christopher, was featured on a two-hour set on the Le Plur stage at the 2015 Voodoo Muisc + Art Experience. The DJ also collaborated with recent OffBeat cover artist Quickie Mart.

Tickets are now available for $10 in presale on the Dragon’s Den website. They will be $15 at the door. The Dragon’s Den is located at 435 Esplanade Ave.
