New Orleanians will be dancing in September since Earth, Wind & Fire have announced the start of their 2021 tour. Last year, Live Nation regrettably stated that “in the interest of the health and safety of [its] family of fans, the Miraculous Supernatural 2020 Tour is being rescheduled to 2021.” Previously purchased tickets would be honored for rescheduled show dates.
During the 1970s, a new brand of pop music was born – one that was steeped in African and African-American styles – particularly jazz and R&B but appealed to a broader cross-section of the listening public. Spanning the musical genres of R&B, soul, funk, jazz, disco, pop, dance, Latin, and Afro pop, under the influence of the late Maurice White, Earth, Wind & Fire has played Essence Festival and Jazz Fest in New Orleans in the past. Described as a “visionary” by Vibe and a “mastermind” by Variety, White was nominated for a total of 22 Grammys, of which he won seven.
The performance is scheduled for September 21. For pre-sale tickets, visit here. According to the band’s website, the pre-sale code is WONDERLAND and should be entered at checkout.
Note: This article has been updated to reflect the correct date. We initially believed Santana would resume his tour schedule with the band as scheduled from 2020.
