Tipitina’s will wrap up Jazz Fest in the phunkiest way possible.
The iconic New Orleans venue will host an evening performance by Dumpstaphunk on Sunday, May 1. The gig will a late-night set from Earphunk, who play the club at 2am on Saturday, April 30 (technically Sunday, May 1).
Earphunk will headline Tipitina’s in support of their forthcoming album, Right Where We Belong. The new LP was recorded at Chicago’s Electrical Audio studio with famed producer Steve Albini (Nirvana’s In Utero, Pixies Surfer Rosa). Additionally, Tipitina’s has also added a late night set from Black Joe Lewis to its Jazz Fest schedule. The souk/funk revivalists will take the stage on Thursday, April 29 following an evening show from St. Paul & The Broken Bones.
