At The Drive-In will kick off their next tour with a show at the Civic Theatre in New Orleans on Friday, March 17.
The seminal post-hardcore band first called it quits in 2001 after the release of their third album Relationship of Command, with guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala going on to form prog-rock outfit The Mars Volta. The group reunited for a series of shows in 2012, but didn’t reform in earnest until last year, when they embarked on a world tour and confirmed plans for a new album.
At The Drive-In’s highly-anticipated fourth album currently has no title and is set for release some time in 2017. However, the band did put out a new song in December titled “Governed by Contagions,” marking their first new material since 2000.
Tickets for At The Drive-In’s New Orleans concert will go on sale this Friday, February 10 at 10am.
