Mark your calendars for a special night of jazz on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, as Dr. Michael Torregano takes the stage at the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Dr. Torregano, a renowned New Orleans-based jazz pianist and the Associate Director of Music Education at the Center, will be performing at the event, showcasing his lifelong passion for music.
With a musical journey that began at the age of four, Dr. Torregano has become a beloved figure in the New Orleans music scene, known for his ability to inspire and uplift through his performances. “My goal is to make people feel good about themselves and their current situations through my music,” says Dr. Torregano.
In an effort to make the concert accessible to all, special discounted tickets are available for senior citizens and New Orleans residents receiving SNAP benefits for just $3.00 per person. To reserve these discounted tickets, a valid benefits card and photo ID are required, and seating is limited. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling 504.940.3400.
