New Orleans fans of Dr. John have an opportunity to rally together and vote for rare and unreleased Dr. John music to be pressed on limited-edition vinyl, thanks to fan-driven label Run Out Groove. Each month, the company allows fans to vote on the label’s next high-quality vinyl pressing, chosen from selections of unreleased material, reissues of out-of-print titles, or brand new collections compiled from the Warner Music vault.

The current round closes out on Wednesday, October 4 but before the deadline, Professor Bizarre’s Funknology needs your votes. If Dr. John’s LP is voted the winner, fans may even get to choose the colors of the wax, contribute to the liner notes, or pick alternate album art.

Professor Bizarre’s Funknology is a brand-new collection of the Doctor’s formative years on Atco Records, and the double-LP set would include a second disc of unreleased rarities from 1968-1974 pressed on 180g vinyl to come with new art and liner notes.
