The Downtown Music and Arts Festival, scheduled to take place in the courtyard of the New Orleans Jazz Museum from August 27 to 28, has been canceled due to the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Presented in tandem with the Cutting Edge Conference, a gathering of music-industry professionals, and the Music Business Institute, the tenth-annual two-day event was to have featured such acts as Vegas Cola Band, Sharon Martin, the Lilli Lewis Project, Owen W. Dunne, Mem Shannon and Little Freddie King.
The Cutting Edge Conference includes panel discussions among music businesses, an entertainment law seminar, film and interactive media workshops, and opportunities for bands and musicians to meet publicity agents and firms.
