Jazz singer Anaïs St. John will pay tribute to the late, great Donna Summer with a special tribute show at New Orleans’ Joy Theater. The event–billed as “Last Dance: A Tribute to Donna Summer”–is set to take place on Friday, January 8.
DJ Soul sister will also be on hand as a special guest.
Summer, the disco superstar behind hits like “Love to Love You Baby,” “Hot Stuff,” “Bad Girls,” “MacArthur Park” and “I Feel Love,” passed away in 2012 at the age of 63. She released three consecutive No. 1 albums between 1978 and 1980, along with 14 No. 1 songs on Billboard’s Dance/Club chart over the course of her career. Her success in the dance music world earned her a well-deserved reputation as the “Queen of Disco.”
Tickets for Last Dance: A Tribute to Donna Summer are now on sale.
