Dave Jordan & The NIA to Welcome Special Guests at the Maple Leaf

Dave Jordan & the NIA will play three shows across the New Orleans area this week as they prepare to hit the studio to record a new album.

The group will head to the Ogden Museum of Art on Thursday, January 28 for an acoustic show as part of the museum’s After Hours Series. The following night (Friday, January 29), the band will perform at the Maple Leaf, where they will debut new material from their upcoming album. The Maple Leaf show will feature a few special guests, including George Porter Jr., Papa Mali and a horn section.

Finally, Jordan will return to Ruby’s Roadhouse in his hometown of Mandeville for a show on Saturday, January 30.

Dave Jordan & the NIA will record their upcoming album at The Living Room in New Orleans. The group received a Threadhead Cultural Foundation Grant to help with the project, which will be co-produced by New Orleans Suspects saxophonist Jeff Watkins.

Dave Jordan & the NIA have also scheduled a few big shows this spring, including their debuts at the T-Bois Blues Fest and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
