Dat Dog is getting in the food truck game. NOLA.com reports that the popular New Orleans hot dog establishment will launch its new Datmobile in two weeks.
According to the publication, the Datmobile will be equipped with lights and a soundsystem with a mic for the driver, as well as a GPS that will allow patrons to track it down.
While Dat Dog already has a mobile cart in service, the new food truck will offer a more expansive menu, including the new Dat Burger. Additionally, the Datmobile will be decked out in the same eclectic color scheme as the restaurants, so fans won’t have trouble figuring out which truck has the dogs.
Dat Dog has expanded rapidly since the original location opened on Freret Street a few years ago. The restaurant now has locations at Magazine Street, Frenchmen Street and Metairie’s Lakeside Shopping Center.
