The 2014 Cutting Edge C.E Conference will bring leaders all areas of the entertainment industry to New Orleans from August 21-23.
The conference, now in its 22nd year, will feature presentations from a variety of New Orleans based music industry leaders.
New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation director Scott Aiges, Orleans Records owner Carlo Ditta, Delgado Community College Assistant Professor of Music Kevin George, Thunderbird Management owner Ruben Williams, and many more.
WWOZ General Manager David Freedman will receive the Cutting Edge Lifetime Achievement Award for his key role helping secure the station as one of the cornerstone of New Orleans music and culture.
The conference, which will take place at the InterContinental Hotel, will also feature Music Dealers co-founder and CEO Eric Sheinkop as the keynote speaker.
Every level of the entertainment industry will be represented, with sessions on Entertainment Law, Music Business, Film financing and tax credits, Roots Music, and the NewWorks Showcases.
Attendees will also be able to attend the NOLA Downtown Festival and Cruisin’ New Orleans Pro Gear Show at the Historic Carver Theater.
