Curren$y to Perform at The Fillmore

Local New Orleans rapper Curren$y will perform at The Fillmore on Canal Street on Thursday, April 20. The hip-hop heavyweight, who has released over 40 full-length albums since 2009, is known for his love and dedication to his hometown of New Orleans. Despite his success, Curren$y can often be seen around the city, enjoying his time at car meets or driving his golden Bentley. Just last week, he was spotted at RedBull’s Terminal Takeover at Republic NOLA.

Curren$y is an established artist. He has toured everywhere from New Orleans to Switzerland and has been credited with influencing many hip-hop greats such as Wiz Khalifa. Curren$y’s recent collaboration with Jermaine Dupri on the 22-minute LP For Motivational Use Only, Vol. 1, released on April 4, features contributions from T.I. and 2 Chainz, two of Atlanta’s most well-known rap artists. Fans can expect to hear tracks from this new project during his performance on Thursday.

Fans attending Curren$y’s upcoming performance at The Fillmore can expect to hear tracks from his latest project and some of his earlier work. General admission tickets for the show are priced at $40, while Official Platinum tickets range from $85-135, not including processing fees. The doors open at 8 p.m., and the music will begin at 9 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend.
