For the duration of the fourth Crescent City Chamber Music Festival (CCCMF) season, from October 3 to October 13, the organization will partner with Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church, Urban South Brewery, St. Charles Ave. Presbyterian Church, WWNO, Classical 104.9 and Make Music Nola, bringing chamber music performances to New Orleans.
During CCCMF, Festival Artists, Ensembles in Residence and Special Guest Artists will visit nursing homes, schools, churches, homeless shelters, mission sites and other organizations to showcase their interactive musical performances. CCCMF will also include six free public performances in various New Orleans venues.
The first free concert will feature an opening night gala and an album release with Sonic Escape at New Orleans Record Press (1336 Montegut St.), and it will take place on Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. The Lysander Piano Trio will perform at the St. Charles Ave. Presbyterian Church (1545 State St.) on Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m., with a 7 p.m. pre-concert talk. Concert three will feature the Lysander Piano Trio with the Manhattan Chamber Players at Temple Sinai (6227 St. Charles Ave.) on Oct. 6 at 5 p.m., with a 4:30 p.m. concert talk. The annual music and beer pairing event will take place at Urban South Brewery (1645 Tchoupitoulas St.) on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. The Manhattan Chamber Players will perform at Dixon Concert Hall at Tulane University on Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m., with a 7 p.m. pre-concert talk, and the season finale concert will take place at the Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church (3900 St. Charles Ave.) on Oct. 13 at 5 p.m.
Other artists performing for CCCMF include artistic director and violist Luke Fleming, English-American flutist Emi Ferguson, violinist and winner of Astral’s 2016 National Auditions Katie Hyun, founding cellist of the Escher Quartet Andrew Janss and many more.
