The Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival will return to New Orleans’ Lafayette Square Park this Friday, October 14 through Sunday, October 16.
This year’s event will feature sets from Taj Mahal, Tab Benoit, Tucka, Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, The Suffers, Little Freddie King and many more. Last year’s event saw the Funky Meters team up with Irma Thomas and Allen Toussaint. Sadly, Toussaint passed away less than a month later, and the show ended up being his final performance in New Orleans.
In addition to the music, there will also be BBQ dishes from a variety of local vendors, including Blue Oak BBQ, The Joint, Vaucresson Sausage Company, Saucy’s, Bratz Y’all and Peck’s Seafood Restaurant. A full list of vendors and their menus can be found here.
As usual, Crescent City Blues & BBQ will be free and open to the public.
