Crawfish lovers rejoice: the annual cook-off celebration is coming back to Louisiana next month. On Sunday, March 25, the 33rd Annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off will take place at the Barn at Lake View Park & Beach in Eunice, Louisiana. Sponsored by The Eunice Chamber of Commerce and the City of Eunice, the festivities begin on Saturday, March 24, 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. with a Pre Cook-off Kick-off dance featuring Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin Cajuns. The main cook-off will take place on Sunday, the 25th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., concluding with the crowning of this year’s World Champion Crawfish Etouffee Chefs.
The cook-off champions will be named by a panel of celebrity and professional judges, declaring winners from three categories: Amateur, Professional, and Club/Organizations. Winners will be announced on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. This unique celebration of Cajun culture will also include a full schedule of dancing, music, arts & crafts, and childrens’ activities. Headlining the weekend’s musical performances are Courtbouillon, Kyle Huval and the Dixie Club Ramblers, and Seth Spell and Cajun Strong. Admission for the event is completely free and open to the public.
