Looking for something to satisfy your craving for craft brews? Add in a little music and food and you’ve got this Sunday’s “Brews, Bands, and Bites” at the House of Blues.
The second annual event starts this Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at HOB, with a VIP “brewhaha” at 2 p.m. in the Foundation Room.
The BBB lets guests sample craft beers from all over Louisiana, and also provides interaction with brewery reps and brew masters to learn more about their products. You can buy full pours if you find a favorite (or two, or three). If you’re not a beer drinker, the regular bar will also be open.
Breweries participating are NOLA Brewery, Bayou Teche Biere, Chafunkta Brewing Co., Covington Brewhouse, Parish Brewing Co., Tin Roof Brewing Co., Gnarly Barley Brewing Co., Abita Brewing Co.,Great Raft Brewing, Mudbug Brewery LLC and 40 Arpent Brewing Co.
To complement the essence of each beer, Crossroads at House of Blues will serve gastro-pub-style nibblies while several bands play, including Bonerama, Michot’s Melody Makers, Nonc Nu & Da Wild Matous, Gal Holiday & the Honky Tonk Revue, Jake Landry and Right Lane Bandits, Hazy Ray, Tear Drop City, Palmyra and more. Michael “Magic Mike” Dardant emcees the event and also performs sleight-of-hand illusions while being accompanied by the Bad Girls of Burlesque and Bustout Burlesque.
HOB is also offering chances to win prizes throughout the event, such as tickets, dinners for two, six-month Foundation Room membership and more.
General Admission tickets are $12 and attendees must be 21+. Sampling wristbands are available for purchase at $15 which includes 5 samples. Food pairing tickets are also available for purchase at the door. Packages are also available. Go here for more information.
