The 10th Annual Wizard World is coming to New Orleans January 3-5 in a magical weekend of cosplay and fandom. Fans young and old can show off their best costumes in the famous Wizard World Costume Contest and celebrate the most loved characters of pop culture.
This Wizard World will feature an array of talented artists and writers responsible for some of the most popular movies, television, gaming, live entertainment, comics, sci-fi, graphic novels and toys from around the world. Stars include Henry Wrinkler from “Happy Days,” Xander Berkeley from Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Patrick Renna from The Sandlot, Holly Marie Combs from “Charmed,” Matt Ryan from “Constantine” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” and Thomas Ian Nicholas from Rookie of the Year and American Pie.
These six join an already great cast of characters including five stars of “Smallville” in Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Kristen Kreuk, Erica Durance, and John Glover. Other stars include “Outlander” favorites Sam Heughan, Ed Speleers, John Bell, and Maria Doyle Kennedy. Additionally, The Princess Bride headliners Cary Elwes and Wallace Shawn will join “Firefly” standouts Jewel Staite and Sean Maher.
As the first event schedule for the 2020 Wizard World calendar, this New Orleans spectacular will be sure to kick the New Year off to a great start. The festival will be located at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Center on 900 Convention Center Boulevard.
