Conjured Roots Conference to Teach African, Afro-Cuban, Salsa Drumming and Dance

The Conjured Roots conference will focus on African, Afro-Cuban, salsa and modern drumming and dance when it comes to the New Orleans area November 4-6.

kp_flyer_print_W_BLEEDConjured Roots will feature a variety of classes, which will all have musical accompaniment led by percussionist Weedie Braimah. Other featured teachers include Diadie Bathily (African Dance), Theo Jamison (Dunham Technique), Andrea Peoples (Modern & African) and Hansell Vaillant (Salsa & Afro Cuban Folk).

Friday activities will take place at the Stallings Center at 4300 St. Claude Avenue in New Orleans, while Saturday and Sunday activities will be held at the Terrytown Playground at 621 Heritage Aveune in Terrytown, LA.
