Adam Sandler will share the stage with fellow Saturday Night Live alums David Spade and Rob Schneider when the Here Comes The Funny Tour swings through New Orleans on Thursday, December 8. Their stand-up show at the UNO Lakefront Arena will also feature Reno 911! mainstay Nick Swardson, a veteran of numerous Sandler films who headlined New Orleans’ Hell Yes Fest last week (and spoke to us about his old sketch comedy program Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time, representing Barq’s Root Beer and more).
Here Comes The Funny marks the latest tour from the four comedians, who all teamed up earlier this year for The Do-Over Tour in support of Sandler and Spade’s Netflix original movie, The Do-Over. Their upcoming outing appears to be a follow up to the May outing, a run of dates that saw the quartet take the stage in seven select cities.
Sandler, Spade, Schneider and Swardson will be the latest batch of stand-up luminaries to perform in the Crescent City in recent months. Sarah Silverman just closed out Hell Yes Fest at the Saenger Theatre on Friday night, while Jim Jeffries is coming to the Joy Theater on December 10 and Amy Schumer plans to ring in the New Year with a show at the Smoothie King Center.
Tickets for Here Comes The Funny will go on sale Friday, October 21 at 10am via Ticketmaster.
